There are calls for the introduction of a levy in the National Health Insurance Structure in Ghana to cater for some of the costs of operations of the country’s national ambulance service. 

It comes on the back of a proposal by the ambulance service to have some of its services levied on people who patronize them as a way of sustaining their operations.
