Germany is pulling out its troops from the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Mali, MINUSMA, following disagreements with authorities in Bamako.
The withdrawal has been a significant discussion between the two parties since October 2022 but was only formalized by the German Minister of Defense last week.
As Tofik AbdulNasir reports, Germany temporarily suspended its operations in Mali last August due to restrictions imposed by the authorities on the overflight of airspace by reconnaissance drones.
