President Adama Barrow has expressed concern over the major challenges faced by democracy in the country.

According to Barrow, limited funding, high youth unemployment, and corruption, allegations are impeding the nation’s democratic progress.

He retreated on the need to carefully negotiate the public space for freedom of expression while avoiding hate speech that could threaten peace and stability.
