ECOWAS citizens in the Gambia have narrated ordeals they encounter during travels within the sub-region.
They accuse authorities of various countries for disregarding the ECOWAS protocol on free movement of goods and services.
Some say border officials despite producing valid ECOWAS documents that should guarantee their free movement have extorted them.
They made these revelations during a nationwide tour awareness campaign on the activities of ECOWAS in the Gambia undertaking by ECOWAS citizens in the Gambia in partnership with ECOWAS Permanent Mission.
