A segment of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) is opposed to the political marriage with President Adama Barrow’s National People’s Party.
It said the preconditions for the formation of the alliance have not been met and that the announced alliance does not have the backing of former President Yahya Jammeh.
This segment also say they do not want any collaboration with President Barrow and his party as the president cannot be trusted.
One of the APRC members opposed to this political marriage is Lamin Tamba.
