France has reaffirmed its support for the authorities of the political transition in Mali.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, has been in Mali since Sunday.

 On his agenda are tête-à-tête meetings with the President of the transition and the Prime Minister on Monday.

A meeting with his counterpart, Zeini Moulaye, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Mali, is also scheduled.
