French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian says the European Union will take sanctions against Mali today.
On Wednesday, the French minister for Europe said the sanctions are in line with the vigorous economic and diplomatic measures taken by ECOWAS in response to the junta's intention to remain in power.
