Some Ghanaians and other African staff laid off by Twitter after the platform was purchased by Elon Musk are yet to receive their severance package over seven months on.
The social media giant, inaugurated its regional headquarters in Accra, Ghana in November 2022 to coordinate all the platform’s activities for Africa.
However, Musk who took control of Twitter in October 2022, began a series of sweeping layoffs affecting thousands of workers, many of them in Ghana and Africa.
Monies owed to the staff however remain unpaid.
