Former Guinean Prime Mohamed Béavogui has been appointed Special Envoy of the United Nations and International Fund for Agricultural Development IFAD to support the replenishment of IFAD13.

The former head of government of Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya will have the heavy task of obtaining two billion dollars from UN member states.

The goal is to enable IFAD to implement a 10 billion program that can lift 110 million families out of poverty over the next 3 years.

Appointed Prime Minister of the Transition in Guinea in October 2021 after the September 5, 2021 coup against the civilian regime of Alpha Condé, Mohamed Béavogui resigned in August 2022, after several disputes with the junta.
