The European Union states' ambassadors on Tuesday, held a first discussion on the presence of mercenaries from the Russian Wagner group in the country and what that means for their ongoing training missions.
Recall that on Monday, the European diplomacy accused Mali’s transitional government of not providing the necessary guarantees to ensure the continuation of EU training missions, adding that they would have to be recalibrated.
