The United Nations Climate Summit COP27 held in November last year, closed with a breakthrough agreement to provide ‘loss and damage’ funding for vulnerable countries hit hard by climate disasters.
At the end of the summit, world leaders and over 40,000 participants witnessed a package of decisions that reaffirmed countries’ commitment to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
