In the last couple of weeks, several sessions, conferences and mini summits by authorities, climate and environmental experts, scientists, and global energy experts as well as by researchers climaxed ahead of the COP 28 pinned in Dubai.
But at the top of the list of participants who have both complaints and recommendations to make are civil society actors who have closely monitored and felt the devastating impact of climate change.
There’s however no doubt that concerned CSOs and environmental experts have the backing of the host country of the COP28, which made a clarion call for larger commitment as world leaders, policymakers, multinationals and the private sector meet to beat global warming.
