The Burkinabe government says lifeless bodies of all eight missing miners at the Perkoa site in the Sanguié province have been found.
The government in a statement said the search for the miners ended on Wednesday after 54 days of rescue mission following a flood on April 16, 2022.
The miners include six Burkinabe, one Tanzanian and one Zambian.
The Mouvement burkinabè des droits de l'homme et des peuples (MBDHP) condemned the slow response by the mine and the government in the deployment of rescue operations.
The group demands that responsibility for this tragedy be clearly established.
