Liberia’s President George Weah has expressed concern about recent reports of instability and piracy along the Gulf of Guinea.
According to the International Maritime Bureau, the Gulf of Guinea is the most dangerous sea in the world because of piracy, with the latest incident occurring over the weekend, leaving one person dead.
Speaking during the 58th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Weah added that a concerted effort was needed to combat the violence as well as the effects of covid-19.
