The mediator of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in the Malian political crisis, former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan arrived in Bamako on Sunday as part of the follow-up to the management of the transition.
The arrival of the mediator came two days after police officers stormed a prison compound in the capital to free one of their commanders who was arrested and detained by the transitional government.
