48 hours until the ultimatum given to the Junta in Niger elapses, the Regional Bloc – ECOWAS is seeking diplomatic means to resolve the crisis and restore constitutional order.
The last possible option before it considers the use of force is the deployment of a delegation comprising a former Nigerian military ruler, the ECOWAS Commission President and a cleric to Niamey.
