Economic Community of West African States has formally adopted Vision 2050 towards appropriately responding to the multi-dimensional challenges of sustainable development as well as deepening integration among member states.

This was part of resolutions leaders of the regional bloc reached at the conclusion of the 60th Ordinary session which took place in Abuja, Nigeria's capital.
