The President of the Sierra Leone Dock Workers Union has said that if their end-of-service payment is not made to them in the shortest possible time, they will continue to lay down tools.

Ferdinand Valentine made the statement during a peaceful protest at the Bollore Transport and Logistics Freetown Terminal Port within seaport to demand payment of their end-of-service benefits among other requests.

As WADR’s Patrick Sallia reports, Bollore Transport & Logistics Sierra Leone took over from the country’s Shipping Agency in March 2011 after winning the international tender by the government to operate part of the seaport known as the Queen Elizabeth the second quay.
