Over the weekend, thousands of demonstrators gathered in the capital of Burkina Faso to show their support to the military who seized power in January after overthrowing elected president Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.
Many in the crowd waved Russian flags and held anti-France banners.
According to the organizers, the rally had a single purpose, to support the momentum of patriotic upheaval of the junta in its retaking of the localities occupied by the armed groups.
