Cybercrime costs Cote d’Ivoire 6billion FCFA in 2021, govt reveals

The Ivorian government has reported that the cost of cybercrime in the country was approximately 6 billion FCFA in 2021.

Speaking at the opening of the 3rd edition of the Cyber Africa Forum (CAF) in Abidjan, the Ivorian Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Amadou Coulibaly, revealed that the Platform for the Fight against Cybercrime had received 5,000 complaints, with a resolution rate of around 50%, which is considered high.
