Normal academic activities officially started in Liberia on Monday, January 4, 2021.
Schools were closed in March 2020 after the country recorded its index case of COVID-19.
However, as Pastor Maxwell Sando Sr., a school teacher in Monrovia explains to WADR, the majority of the schools in the city received fewer students than usual on the first day of school.
