Research conducted by the Institute for Education Studies (IFEST), in Ghana has shown that a majority of teachers in the country have been psychologically affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Findings from the research also indicate that the teachers have also faced financial, social and emotional hardship due to the pandemic. These results have prompted IFEST to propose better employee welfare and support systems for teachers by the Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service.
Peter Anti is acting executive director of the institute.
