The Ivorian government Wednesday announced the reopening of its land borders after nearly two years since it closed its connecting routes.

Government spokesman, Amadou Coulibaly said the state’s decision followed the favourable evolution of the covid19 pandemic situation around the world.

Coulibaly cited a decree adopted by the Council of Ministers for the reopening of the land borders.

Imoh Edet completes the story.
