There are mixed reactions to the return of former President of Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo. On Wednesday, the Secretary General of the Ivorian Popular Front called “Gbagbo or nothing” (GOR), Assoa Adou revealed that the return will take place next month.
Recall that on January 15, 2019, the International Criminal Court acquitted Laurent Gbagbo and Charles Blé Goudé of all charges of crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Côte d'Ivoire in 2010 and 2011.
The two were subsequently granted conditional release pending an appeal hearing with Mr. Gbabgo expected to return home in the coming weeks.
WADR’s Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson has been interacting with Ivorian Journalist Francois Mbra on how the news of the former leader has been received.
