Côte d’Ivoire in dialogue with opposition to quell political unrest

In Côte d'Ivoire, the opposition and the government are moving towards a reconciliation after an initial dialogue started by President Allassane Ouattara came to an end in November.

The Ivorian Prime Minister on Monday paid a visit to the Secretary General of the Democratic Party of Cote d`Ivoire PDCI led by Henri Konan Bédié.

Prime Minister Ahmed Bakayoko said he discussed the issue of reconciliation with a PDCI leader – Maurice Guikahué, who returned from Paris two weeks ago following health complications.
