The Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara on Tuesday called on the Malian authorities to with immediate effect, release the Ivorian troops arrested in the country on Sunday.

He made the declaration at the National Security Council Meeting on Tuesday.

President Ouattara described the arrest of the forty-nine Ivorian soldiers in Bamako on Sunday as unjust.
