The Chadian government has declared an emergency in 18 of the 23 provinces of the Central African country, following floodings that the World Health Organization (WHO), fears the outbreak of malaria and cholera, among other diseases.
According to the WHO, the torrential rains and the annual flooding of the Chari and Logone rivers have led to flooding that has strongly affected the populations.
