Central African Republic went to the polls on Sunday amid heavy security presence in a second round of parliamentary elections.

Recall CAR’s elections in December were marred by violence from rebel groups present in the country.

According to the electoral body, voting process in the second round began smooth and early but with slight delays across Bangui – The capital.
