At least fifty terrorists were neutralized in the eastern and central-eastern regions of the country over the weekend by the Burkinabé Army.

The counter-offensive was communicated by the state media on Sunday. The raid came days after an attack by suspected terrorists on a displaced persons camp that killed several civilians.
