The Burkinabe Transitional Government has formally communicated to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) that it stands by its resolution to exit the regional bloc.

In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, it emphasized the irreversibility of Burkina Faso’s decision to withdraw from ECOWAS, asserting that the country is not subject to any deadline constraints.
