In Burkina Faso, a military base in the town of Djibo, Soum province came under heavy attack over the weekend.

The large-scale attack according to the state media was repelled by the armed forces on site.

As Abdullahi Hassan reports, there has been no official communication on this attack, but sources report about 400 attackers killed during the face-off.
