In Burkina Faso, the trial of Thomas Sankara and his 12 companions will commence this morning.
14 defendants are called to the stand to answer for, among other things, murder, attacks on state security and concealment of corpses.
Among the 14 defendants, the former president Blaise Compaoré who will be tried in absentia as he is in exile in Côte d'Ivoire since 2014.
