The medical charity, Médecins Sans Frontières says a healthcare centre it supports in Foube, Barsalogho department, in the Centre-North region of Burkina Faso, was burnt down.
In a statement, it says unidentified armed men, most probably targeting the Foube gendarmerie post, a few hundred metres away, injured a member of the team during an attack.
It adds that staff of the healthcare center and other wounded patients have been quickly treated and evacuated to Ouagadougou, and are now in a stable condition.
