The government of Burkina Faso recently took a significant step toward combating terrorism by adopting a decree on general mobilization.

This new decree aims to provide a legal framework for all actions to address the security challenges faced by the country.

Prior to this adoption, the President of the Transition had obtained the approval of the Constitutional Council in late December 2022.
