Benin’s President Patrice Talon was sworn-in on Sunday for a second five-year term following his re-election on April 11.
In his inaugural speech, President Talon promised to continue to develop the nation as he listed education, tourism, finance, energy and roads as high priorities for this second term.
He faces criticisms for becoming increasingly authoritarian after jailing political opponents and preventing others from participating in election that saw him re-elected.
