The Beninese government has submitted to the National Assembly a bill on the protection of cultural heritage.
According to the minutes of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, the project will be examined and if voted, it will enter into force in the coming days.
This bill aims to better protect the heritage of Benin which, according to the authorities, has often been the subject of various trafficking.
A statement from the government said, the Beninese state has made massive investments in recent years to become a popular tourist destination.
