The African Union AU says it welcomes the holding of a constitutional referendum slated for June 18, 2023, in Mali.
Chairperson of the continental body Moussa Faki Mahamat in a statement reiterates that the adoption of the new Constitution is essential to restore constitutional order.
The African Union Commission further commends all the efforts deployed by the transitional authorities in achieving this goal.
