Liberia’s National Elections Commission NEC is expected to later today at 4:30 pm declare the final results from the October 10 general elections.

After nearly two weeks, 20 presidential candidates including incumbent George Weah and Opposition candidate Joseph Boakai both tied in close leads will know their fate.

2.4 million electorates had participated in the voting exercise.

However, the final pronouncement was delayed due to a rerun in two polling stations in Nimba County where ballot boxes were snatched.

Analysts say the new count is not expected to make any significant difference especially as Liberians prepare for a second round of the presidential vote.

Abdullahi Katamba a Liberian political analyst briefly described the mindset of many ahead of the final results.
