Several human rights organizations in Senegal, including RADDHO and Amnesty International, are calling for the release of Aliou Sané.

The leader of the civil society movement Yen a Marre, who has been in detention for 2 months, will appear before the Indictments Division of the Dakar Court on Tuesday.

He was arrested on his way to the home of opposition politician Ousmane Sonko, along with other political figures.

These human rights organizations are concerned about the appeal lodged by the public prosecutor against the investigating judge’s order to release Aliou Sané on bail.
