A seminar is due to convene here in Dakar today (Thursday) on the theme of Africa and open local governance.

The meeting is part of the Local Open Gov-Lab project initiated by the non-governmental organization Africtivists.

This project supports and accompanies African local authorities through digital means for inclusive and participatory governance. It is based on an assisted pathway of open local governance for a period of 6 months.

At the end of the Dakar seminar, pilot municipalities will sign agreements as part of the implementation of the project.
