The incidence of cancer-related deaths in Africa could potentially double within the next two decades if concerted efforts are not made to enhance healthcare infrastructure and implement a strategic approach to disease management.
Professor Isaac Adewale, a former Minister of Health in Nigeria, sounded this warning during his keynote address at a three-day symposium theme The Changing Cancer Care Landscape in Nigeria.
