African ministers of health and over one thousand professionals in the sector have converged in Botswana for a week-long conference.

Organized by the World Health Organization WHO Africa regional office, the summit will discuss health challenges facing the continent.

But most importantly, delegates are expected to propose better response mechanisms for Africa in anticipation of the next pandemic – following the continent’s poor response to COVID-19.
