Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to the country after being away from public view for around 36 days since winning the elections in February. Speculations about his whereabouts had been circulating, with some political opponents alleging he was seriously ill.

He addressed the media and supporters who had gathered at the airport to welcome him on Monday evening, confirming that he was not unwell but fit to take on the challenges of governance ahead.
