Niger State Government in North Central Nigeria, has confirmed the abduction of unspecified number of Pupils from Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School. The incident happped on Sunday evening at Tegina in the Rafi Local Government Area of the State.

While a statement issued by Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane confirmed the incident, he noted that an investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, a former political adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan has been shot dead in Eastern State of Imo.
