The Gambia Refugees Association in Europe says 4,000 asylum applications by Gambian migrants in Germany have been rejected by authorities.

The association cites the rejections as a cause of concern for the group.

A 10-man Gambia government delegation has travelled to Europe to engage EU countries with high concentration of Gambian migrants, on reaching a common ground on migration management.

Mr. Musa Camara, director of the Gambia Diaspora Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Gambia, was quoted by the local media as saying that "migration is a key priority for the Gambia government."

Gambian journalist Sanna Camara who’s monitoring this development has been speaking to WADR about the plight of the migrants.
