This year’s World Radio Day theme brings to the fore how long this medium has been impacting lives, changing narratives and guiding communities.
It was Proclaimed in 2011 by the Member States of UNESCO, and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 as an International Day, February 13 became World Radio Day (WRD).
On this special broadcast, we will be sharing with you interviews with veteran radio broadcasters, radio personalities from our partners across the subregions and of course reports and voices of the people who the very reason radio was established.
