An estimated 3.6% of Nigeria’s population could fall into poverty by 2027, according to the World Bank’s latest Africa Pulse report.

The projection comes despite Nigeria’s wealth in oil and mineral resources, highlighting growing economic challenges.

The report also shows sub-Saharan Africa continues to have the highest poverty rate globally.

Experts warn that without urgent reforms, the poverty situation could worsen in the coming years.
