The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) announced over the weekend, the resumption of its emergency food assistance by air, for a week in Burkina Faso.
Recall that the transition government had suspended the rotations of the humanitarian planes of the Food Program on January 11 saying that there was a communication problem and a fairly serious misunderstanding in the supply of the air fleet of the WFP.
The UN agency subsequently said it met with the country’s authorities and that the two parties discussed and agreed on the humanitarian response plan and priorities of WFP in Burkina Faso.
