In a collaborative effort to combat terrorism, four neighboring countries in the sub-region namely, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Ghana have come together to strengthen their border security.
The decision was reached during a recently concluded meeting held in Lome, the Togolese capital, from Tuesday, May 16 to Thursday, May 18.
This meeting marked the first cross-border cooperation gathering of the year, focusing on enhancing security measures in the regions between the Savanes area in northern Togo, the eastern regions, the center-east of Burkina Faso, the Upper East region in Ghana, and the departments of Atacora and Alibori in Benin.
