The first part of the program spotlights asthma, a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus.

This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, a whistling sound when you breathe out, and shortness of breath.

Asthma symptoms can be mild or severe and can come and go over time.

For some people, the condition may be a minor nuisance. For others, it can be a major problem that interferes with daily activities and may lead to a life-threatening asthma attack.

The second part of the program focuses on an important event marked annually on May 5 to celebrate and raise awareness about the midwifery profession – International Day of the Midwife.

The theme for this year’s celebration, “Midwives: a vital climate solution” highlights the role of midwives as key players in designing resilient health systems capable of withstanding the worst impacts of climate change, delivering environmentally sustainable health services, and empowering women to make decisions that benefit themselves, their families and the planet.
